For small damage (less than 30mm in diameter) or long scratches on the film surface, special tape made of ETFE film can be used for maintenance and repair.

 

Before repair, clean and dry the parts that need to be repaired to ensure the bonding effect of the repaired materials.

 

When using ETFE tape, pay attention to the adhesive tape and the film surface need to be firmly fitted, there should be no adhesive bubbles, and the pasted tape should not be warped around.

 

(2) Repair of larger damage
For the damage area of the film surface is large (more than 30mm), first determine whether it can be repaired with ETFE tape according to the actual situation.

 

If it cannot be repaired, the entire ETFE air pillow needs to be replaced. The ETFE air pillow needs to be re-customized and installed to the same specifications.

 

(3) Handling of special cases
If the damage is caused by the pressure increase inside the air pillow beyond the endurance range, or the cracking of the film splicing and weld in the middle and edge of the air pillow, it is necessary to develop a maintenance plan according to the specific situation.
