Introduction and application of ETFE film

ETFE material
ETFE scientific name "ethylene tetrafluoroethylene polymer", commonly known as "F-40", by 25% ethylene and 75% tetrafluoroethylene composition, density of about 1.75 tons /m³, can reach B1 fire standards, service life of up to 30 years, between -50℃~200℃ can be used normally, and has good self-cleaning.

 

ETFE chemical stability, suitable for water, fuel, oil, acid, alkali and other liquid environment. With the opening of the Garden of Eden in Cornwall, England, in 2000, ETFE began to attract global attention. The large-scale application in China is marked by water Cube and bird's Nest!

 

Forms of application in architecture:
1) Prestressed tensioned single-layer film
2) Multi-layer aeroccipital membrane

 

All single-layer and air-pillow films need to be prefabricated in the factory and installed or replaced on site.

 

Material purchase and storage → Shape design and cutting → processing and welding → parts assembly → cleaning → packaging

 

Installation and construction sequence (taking air pillow film as an example) :

Set up temporary measures → Install gas supply pipeline → Install aluminum alloy frame → Install and fix the air pillow unit → aerate the air pillow unit step by step → Clean → debug
