Heat sealing and splicing of PVC-coated knife-scraping fabric

Applicable to sponge door seals, tent fabrics, etc.

Equipment Preparation

  • Use a high-frequency welding machine or HF generator to align the die with the target welding position.

Welding Operation

  1. Activate the machine to convert high-frequency vibrations into heat, causing instantaneous melting of the PVC-coated scrim fabric surface.
  2. Apply pressure to fuse the two material layers seamlessly.
Advantages: Simple operation, high efficiency, and compatibility with diverse materials.

Quality Inspection

  • Verify weld point strength and airtightness to eliminate air leaks or weld separation.
  • Address defects immediately via repair or re-welding.

II. Key Process Parameters

Temperature Control

  • Too low: Incomplete melting → weak welds.
  • Too high: Risk of scorching fabric or damaging coatings.
  • Adjust precisely based on fabric thickness and material properties.

Pressure-Speed Coordination

  • Low pressure: Poor adhesion.
  • Excessive pressure: Fabric deformation.
  • High speed: Insufficient melting.
  • Low speed: Overheating.
  • Optimize parameters through iterative testing.

Material Flatness

  • Ensure fabric is flat, wrinkle-free, and untwisted before welding.
  • Use specialized clamps or weights to stabilize the material.

III. Applications & Advantages

Applications:

  • Seaming PVC-coated scrim fabrics for flex-face billboard fabrics, tarpaulins, tent fabrics, sponge door seals.
  • Ideal for architectural membrane structures, advertising billboards, temporary pavilions.

Advantages:

  1. Seamless Welding: Enhances waterproofing and airtightness through uniform bonding.
  2. High Durability: Robust weld points resist cracking or detachment, extending service life.
  3. Aesthetic Quality: Smooth, glue-free surfaces with no visible seams.
